What We Like Fest

Man, do I love covering festivals; everything about it, from the 3-day weekends to the idea of seeing sick band after sick band from around the world just fucking thrills me. I – myself – have four of them on my plate (so far) this year. With Damaged City Fest coming quickly around the corner – this weekend ftw – I’m already looking towards the future for the next one on my roster: What We Life Fest, May 10-12.

This New York-based, 2-night punk gig is young, having this year be only its second edition. But that doesn’t stop its promoters – Seattle’s Iron Lung Records – from getting some of the biggest names in punk, post-punk, and hardcore to come together on the stage at Brooklyn Bazaar. This Brooklyn weekender brings up-and-comers, such as Blu Anxxiety, and staples, think Warthog and Iron Lung, together with renown international acts such as Vanity or Diat.

Check out below to see the full line up (with their bandcamps attached), a YouTube ‘live’ playlist curated for the fest, and the set order by gig with a link to scoop up tickets.
